This year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show will see
the usual impressive line-up from the Tarquin Boat Company,
designers and builders of Trader motoryachts. The first blue hulled
Trader 64 Sunliner will be making its debut alongside two versions
of the best-selling Trader 42 which was first launched in 2007.
Trader 64 Sunliner
As the first Generation II model for British
boat builder, Tarquin Boat Company, the Trader 64 Sunliner has
received high acclaim from owners thanks to the revolutionary
redesign of its sleek exterior, ‘home from home’ interior and
state-of-the-art onboard systems. A serious long range passage
maker, the Trader 64 Sunliner can be run without crew and has a
range of 1,300 nautical miles. It is equipped with systems usually
found on much bigger boats and with Trader’s renowned sea keeping
abilities; it can be crewed by two people with ease.
With accommodation comprising an owner’s suite
featuring the distinctive Trader transom ‘bay-view’ window and
three guest suite’s, every area of the interior of the Trader 64
Sunliner reflects the Generation II ‘Home from Home’ ethos.
With a tank-tested hull designed by leading naval architect,
Tony Castro, the Trader 64 Sunliner is capable of speeds of up to
24 knots. The superwide flybridge offers an unrivalled 150ft of
entertaining space; the foredeck sports a generous sun-pad and
concealed seat; and with a BBQ, wet bar and fridge across the
transom for alfresco dining, the aft deck has evolved as an outside
saloon with versatile seating and tables ideal for entertaining and
dining.

Trader 42
As the second of Trader’s Generation II
models, the Trader 42 is as iconic as her best selling predecessor,
the Trader 41+2 and in its first year of production, has exceeded
all expectations by generating an order book of 20 units. The 42
has been designed in collaboration with leading naval architect,
Tony Castro and features sleek exterior styling, ‘home from home’
interior and state of the art systems putting her at the top of her
class on all levels.
The versatile platform
architecture of the Trader 42 has enabled a choice of three
deck options; a standard raised aft-deck (Trader 42), a Sport Deck
(Trader 42 Sport Deck) and a full flybridge (Trader 42 Signature).
There are two internal layouts to choose from with either two or
three cabins.
With an air-draft that can be reduced to 3.5m,
the Trader 42 is the first Trader to open up the cruising grounds
of Europe’s inland waterways and the Upper Thames. Equally at
home on rougher waters, the Trader 42 has maintained excellent
sea-keeping capabilities and performance has been further enhanced
following modifications to the hull design detailing which has
enabled the propellers to be housed in tunnels to reduce draft and
drag, increasing the Trader 42’s speed capabilities up to 25
knots.
Two versions of the Trader 42 will be on
display at this year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show.
