Lively Lady

Lively Lady

Built in Calcutta in 1948, Lively Lady was Sir Alec Rose's historic yacht in which he completed his solo circumnavigation in 1968/1969, just before the very first Southampton Boat Show.

On Saturday July 5th 2008, Lively Lady and crew sailed  into Portsmouth to be greeted by hundreds of supporters and well-wishers following her second circumnavigation skippered by British ocean adventurer Alan Priddy 40 years after her first voyage. Travelling some 28,000 nautical miles the Boat has been used to help young disadvantaged adults turn their lives around and make a fresh start.

You too can experience this extraordinary Boat as she take pride of place on berth 63 of the Hydropool Marina from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th.
