PLAN YOUR DAY AT THE PSP SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW
Suggested intinerary
Welcome to the 40th PSP Southampton Boat Show in association
with ITV Meridian, you have a great day ahead of you! To help to
you get most from your Boat Show we have made a few suggestions of
how to plan your day, with something for everyone included. If you
need any help or information at the Show contact the Organisers
Office near the Holiday Inn Hotel or call 023 8022 2900, or speak
with an Information Roller Blader and they will be happy to
help.
10.00am – Get your Show Guide. It offers a vast
array of information and will help you get the most out of your
day. 10.30am - Soak up the Show. As you enter the show you are in
Solent Hall where you can bag an early bargain from the variety of
chandlers and pick up some vital hints and tips. Exiting Solent
Hall you will enter the Arena awash with small boats, canoes,
kayaks, fishing supplies and clothing retailers. If you’ve never
experienced boating before, now’s the time and it’s FREE with
Try-a-Boat. This popular feature offers visitors the opportunity to
get out on the water in a variety of craft FREE. Book your go on
stand B85.
11.00am - Holiday Inn. Moving further into the
show this area offers deck equipment, more clothing brands,
maritime books, small power, Land Rover and trailers. You can grab
a bite to eat and use the cash facilities.
11.30am - State of the Art. Walk over the
bridge to Mayflower Park which holds both Windward and Ocean Halls
these massive structures house a huge variety of electronics and
deck equipment; plus inflatables, and outboard. Mayflower Park also
holds large yachts, dinghies, power boats, engines, services,
publications and a number of bars.
12.00 - Get Involved. Take the family to the
H2O Zone in association with Calshot Activities Centre in Solent
Park where they can try canoeing, sailing and paddleboarding,
experience the thrill of the high seas with Dee Caffari¹s sailing
simulator or get their adrenaline pumping with the Royal Marine’s
‘Rigid Raider’ simulator. Solent Park also hosts a broad range of
exhibitors from large power to small sail. The popular Guinness
Village can also be found here and Solent Park is the access point
for Jeannie Johnston in association with Classic Boat - the
spectacular 19th century replica Tall Ship.
1.00pm - Re fuelling. There are bountiful
catering villages dotted around the Show (see Show Guide), but if
you¹re looking for something more formal, Restaurant SO40 with
Cunard Line, features mouth-watering cuisine.
2.00pm - Maritime Heritage. See Lively Lady,
Ocean Pirate Power Boat and a Clipper 68 all of which have
circumnavigated the globe in the last 40 years.
3.00pm - The Hydropool Marina. Europe’s largest
Show Marina berths some of the world’s most prestigious brands,
Sunseeker, Fairline, Azimut, X-Yachts, Princess, Oyster and many
more. Check out the science research ship Callista plus the famous
Westerly Oceanranger.
4.00pm - Entertainment. Take time to visit the
Main Stage Powered by Fairline at the very heart of the Showground,
watch the Retro Fashion Shows, (that includes the Liz Hurely Swim
Wear range) plus see our heritage films of boating and the show
over the years.
5.00pm - Time Out. Relax in the Seafood Terrace
with afternoon tea or if you are looking for something sparkling,
head over to the Champagne bar sponsored by Sunseeker for a glass
of bubbly.
6.00pm - Retail Therapy. The Show has unique
shopping opportunities from superbly equipped chandleries, to the
latest gadgets and on board innovations. Check out the new Platinum
Pavilion for the latest lifestyle products.
