The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), together
with partner organisations such as the RNLI and independent
lifeboats, are pleased to provide Search and Rescue
demonstrations during the Show on both weekends at approximately
2pm.
The MCA will be using its new AgustaWestland 139 Coastguard
helicopter which is operational along the South Coast. These
helicopters are specifically designed to overcome the challenges of
21st century search and rescue along the UK coastline. The
technology on board is arguably the most advanced in Search and
Rescue today.
