Ladies day 16th September 2010

Ladies Day on Thursday 16 September at the PSP Southampton Boat Show celebrates all things nautical and nice! This day has grown over the last three years and for 2010 promises to be the best yet. And with Wessex Cancer Trust on board as the Official Charity you will be doing good as well.

Dress to impress and WIN

Get the girls together for a day to remember and enjoy a glass of champagne at the South Coast's social event of the season. Take in the atmosphere of this thriving event while overlooking the sparkling Show marina, and don’t forget to dress to impress as one lucky lady will win the coveted ‘Best Dressed Lady’ award. With three major prizes to be won in the competition and the Daily Echo snapper on site it really is a great excuse to glam up!

Mike OsmanFrom 16.30pm you host is TV funny man, DJ and local hero  Mike Osman who will be awarding the prizes, interviewing some special female guests and in his own special way working with the audience to raise some money for Wessex Cancer Trust. The event is set to be the best yet. 

Exhibitors will be celebrating this day with a variety of attractive offers and we invite ladies to take part in our special Ladies Day edition of the Nautical Imaginarium

Ladies entering the competition can also enjoy a glass of bubbly* at the Piper Heidsieck Champagne & Seafood Bar.

Shelley Jory-Leigh is both Business woman & British Power Boat Champion & BBC  Radio Presenter & Newspaper Columnist.

Shelley is one of the United Kingdom’s leading powerboat racers and the top British female. Shelley is renowned both in the UK powerboating circles and also internationally in the World Powerboat Racing Championships as one of Powerboat Racing’s most successful female racers.

Shelley entered this prestigious race series as a rookie in 2008, but certainly not a novice. Making history in the process Shelley became the first women to compete in the Evolution class  - the formula 1 of powerboat racing. 

Raising money for charity

Whilst enjoying yourself at Ladies Day, you will also be benefitting charity Wessex Cancer Trust. The charity helps support and improve cancer services in the Wessex Region . You will see collectors at the Show throughout the day, please help and give generously.
