Team Atlantic Dash
John Haskell and Jaime Windsor from the South Wales fire
and rescue service, otherwise known as Team Atlantic Dash, will
attempt to row unsupported, over 3000 miles across the Atlantic
Ocean to raise money for several charities.
The Atlantic Ocean rowing challenge will start
in December this year from La Gomera, Canaries to the island of
Barbados and the team hope to arrive in February 2012 after 3
months at sea.
They will be rowing their ‘Woodvale Pairs’ class boat,
designed specifically for the race and measuring just 7m (23.4ft)
long by 1.9m (6.3ft) wide.
They will be at the Show so come and see them and their boat and
support their challenge for charity!
