Offshore racing and cruising veterans and RYA Instructors Doug Innes and Adam Smith of Stormforce Coaching deliver a short talk on Heavy Weather Tactics. They will discuss some of the options available to a sailing yacht caught offshore in particularly heavy weather. The talk focuses on survival conditions and looks at some of the equipment you might use and strategies you might employ. Examples are drawn from the Fastnet and Sydney Hobert Disasters as well as more recent events. Doug or Adam will be speaking on different days but covering the same subjects.
