The Gold Anchor Scheme

At which attraction?  Boat Clinic  on Sat 24th - 14:40

The Gold Anchor Award Scheme is designed to provide a quality benchmark so boaters know what to expect from a marina, much like the hotel rating system. It is operated by The Yacht Harbour Association which is part of the British Marine Federation, and the scheme was launched in 1988 with 120 participating marinas all over the world. Marinas undertake a 3 stage process which includes an independent assessment of over 100 aspects of their service and facilities, they are also mystery shopped looking at customer services and first impressions and finally the existing berth holders are surveyed. This information is applied to a calculation from which the rating is established. To see the criteria or to find out what rating your marina has please visit www.which-marina.com Ratings can also be found in the Reeds Nautical Almanac – Marinas Guide and through the Royal Yachting Association.
