Andy Benham
Journalist and angling specialist Andy Benham was
practically born with a fishing rod in one hand and grew up around
Brighton beach.
His passion for angling led to a career writing for many
specialist publications including Sea Angler, Angling Times, Trout
and Salmon and Improve Your Coarse Fishing. He then moved over to
the BBC to work on the BBC Wildlife magazine and launched the
popular BBC Countryfile magazine.
Upon developing a keen interest in Kayak fishing, Andy then left
the BBC to relocate closer to the coast in Devon where he now
resides. Since 2009 he has written a monthly column for Sea Angler
magazine as their kayak fishing correspondent. Following the surge
in popularity of Kayak fishing in the UK, Andy recently published
'Discover Kayak Fishing', the first ever specialist book covering
the sport on this side of the Atlantic.
