Dr. Simon Keeling is founder and Managing Director of Weather School, the world’s only company dedicated to providing weather training for sailors. The latest innovation from Weather School is to provide training courses online, presented live to delegates who can be anywhere in the world. A self-confessed weather anorak, Simon is obsessed by the weather and in communicating the wonders of weather to a wider audience.

At the age of none he dreamed of being a TV weatherman and in 1995 that dream came true when he became weatherman for GMTV. He now trains weather people for the BBC as well as other writing about the weather for Yachting Monthly, and running his weather forecasting company, Weather Consultancy Services. An author of three weather books and the immensely popular Weather Whys DVD, Simon is passionate about explaining how the weather works in a clear, easy to understand way. He is a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society, has the world’s only PhD in Broadcast Meteorology from the University of Birmingham, and an MSC in Applied Meteorology and Climatology. To many he is known as ‘Dr Weather’!
