The Royal Marines Dive Tank

NEW to the 2012 Show don't miss the chance to see a record breaking attempt

The Royal Marines Association will be presenting a full range of activities, including a world record attempt and daily schedule of activities organised in its extreme Dive Tank – open to the public.

The RMA is delighted to announce that, for the first time in history, it will create the record for the furthest distance cycled underwater in 24 hours during the opening weekend of the Show. Two scuba divers will attempt to cycle a distance of 240 miles over the 24 hours!
Other daily activities will include the Royal Marines underwater fitness test and The Royal Marines kit exchange demonstration.

Do you have what it takes to be a Marine?
Members of the public* are welcome to participate in the Royal Marines underwater fitness test: all kit is provided, insured and two dive masters will be on site. Each participant receives a certificate. During the Show, Royal Marines will be on hands to raise awareness of the RMA and of course to support the public in taking part in the daily fitness tests in the extreme dive tank.

About the Royal Marines Association
The Royal Marines Association (RMA) maintains and promotes esprit de corps and comradeship amongst all Royal Marines and their families, past and present. The RMA is established in Branches all over the country and overseas to keep members in touch with one another. The RMA is an integral part of the "Corps Family". The RMA raises funds for many charities, but principally for Corps Charities so that they can meet the ever-increasing demands on them. In association with Commando 999, The RMA is aiming at fundraising £1million by 2014 as one of its major activities for 2012. www.royalmarinesassociation.org.uk/
