The PSP Southampton Boat Show is on the water so is the perfect the place to test and try out something new .  Whatever your boating interest -  step aboard and get afloat.

Get on boats

We expect over 1000 boats for 2012 with over 300 on the marina. This is the perfect opportunity to climb aboard. If you are a first timer or a seasoned sailor you will find most of the boats are freely accessible for you to board. You may be asked to join a waiting list for some of the more popular boats but in the mean time why not get out on something a little different?

There are loads of ways you could do it!

• Try a Boat:

Try a Boat is a Show attraction designed for visitors to get a taste of what boating could be like. It’s great for families, couples and anyone wanting to try boating for the first time.  There will be a variety of boats, from high speed RIBS (Rigid Inflatable Boat), to sailing yachts which visitors can book to go on.

• Get Afloat:

Aimed at getting children onto the water, Get Afloat offers children from 8 - 16 years a free dinghy sailing experience. All equipment is supplied along with fully qualified instructors. 

• Try a Dive:

If getting onto the water isn’t enough, then how about getting under the water? Visitors will have the the opportunity to get the feel of SCUBA diving.  Go on, get in! 

• Test A Boat;

For those looking to purchase a boat, the opportunity to be taken out on the model you are interested in buying will often help make the decision easier – many dealers will be looking forward to taking you out

• Luxury Boat rides;

The Platinum Experience is the Shows top ticket. It offers discerning visitors a number of quality benefits:  Private lounge, breakfast, lunch and tea, private bar, Show Guide, Cloakroom, hostess and a ride out on a luxury power boat. 

• Walk the marina:

The UKs largest purpose built Show marina plays host to hundreds of boats  and a number of special feature boats. Many manufacturers build hospitality decks to entertain guests and it is the place to embark Try A Boat and watch on-water action in the lagoon and beyond.
