Enjoy an exciting educational experience at the PSP
Southampton Boat Show as part of 'Careers, Skills and Education
Week' from Monday 19 to Friday 23 September
2011.
Local schools are offered FREE admission and
can take advantage of the wide range of opportunities at the Show
for students to learn more about maritime history, boating and
working within the industry.

Your Risk Assessment
To assist you with planning for an enjoyable day out at the Show
all schools must complete the risk
assessment form which is there for the safety of students
at the Show.
Free Teachers’ Pack
We can help get the most out of your day, providing you with a
Teachers' Pack which includes essential information to help plan
your trip. We offer a free teacher's site visit prior to your
trip to help you get the most out of the day and also to help with
the Risk Assessment.
Free Site Visits
It is important to ensure the safety of your students. To assist
you with planning for an enjoyable day out at the Show please download the Schools Safety Form and
return to the Show Organisers. We do provide the opportunity
for schools to carry out a site inspection prior your trip to the
Show. This can be carried out as follows
- Site Visit before Friday 16 September - You will be
provided with a ‘Build Up / Breakdown Pass’. You MUST wear sensible
shoes and report to the Organiser's office, located next to the
Holiday Inn, to make them aware you are on site
- Site Visit Friday 16 September onwards - The Show will be open
to the public and you will therefore be provided tickets to gain
entry.
You will also need to complete a Photography Consent Form and return it to
the Show's organisers prior to your visit.
Tickets
The Show provides a child's ticket for entry, however
there is normally a limit on 2 children per adult, so you will
be required to Show on arrival your confirmation letter and a
schools register for all children aged 15 years and under. This
register must not be handed to security but retained for the Show
Organisers for auditing purposes.
Parking
Parking is not provided. There are plenty of areas to park
around the Show for more details visit the ‘Getting to the Show’ area.
Colleges, Universities, Adult Education, Educational
Institutes or Social Clubs
If you are an educational institute catering for pupils 16 years
or above, there is the opportunity for you to arrange a visit to
the Show for free. This is limited to the number of institutes
permitted under this scheme and also the number of tickets per
institute. Please apply as above using This form, and we will
contact you if you are sucessful.
