Renowned powered catamaran manufacturer Powercat will be
unveiling its very latest craft the Powercat 695 at the PSP
Southampton Boat Show.
The 695 will be making its first public appearance in what is a
major development for the company, which has built a strong
reputation on the back of its award winning Powercat 525
Models.
Visitors to the Powercat berths 40 and 41 will be able to see
for themselves the very first 695, which has all of the hallmarks
associated with the award winningPowercat 525 stability,
handling, performance, safety and space - but with some significant
additions.
A wheelhouse boat with a range of options including two berths,
galley, sea toilet and a large cockpit area that can house lockers
and under deck fuel tanks, the new695 has the flexibility to be an
ideal commercial craft or perfect weekend and serious leisure
boat.
The launch of the new Powercat 695 is one of the most
significant developments in the company's history and takes the
product offering onto a completely new level.
Visitors to our stand will be able to see the 695 in the flesh
for the very first time. There has been a lot of anticipation
surrounding the new Powercat and we are delighted to launch the
boat at the PSP Southampton Boat Show, said Powercat Managing
Director Barry Philpott.
Joining the new 695 will be the Powercat's 525 craft, which was
awarded the title of Most Innovative Boat at the 2006 British
Marine Awards. The 525 series has already proven its pedigree in
both the leisure and commercial sectors where it is being used by
the Environment Agency, Phwelli Harbour Authority and the Port of
London Authority.
"It has been an extremely busy and exciting 12 months for us
with the development of the 695, increasing orders for both the
leisure and the commercial 525 and existing customers such as
Phwelli Harbour increasing their fleet of Powercats, and we are
very much looking forward to Southampton", added Barry.
