Icom’s expert team will be on hand to demonstrate its latest range of marine radio products and answer any related questions on stand (E030). The company will be attending this annual show with groundbreaking products including the IC-M510E, a radio that can be controlled via a Smartphone and the IC-M94DE, the only handheld VHF in the market to have an AIS Receiver.Among the Icom line-up will be the IC-M510E advanced marine VHF/DSC radio which allows you to control and operate wirelessly from a smartphone and comes in two variants; a VHF only and a VHF with built-in AIS receive. The IC-M510E is robust, and at almost half the depth of its predecessor the IC-M506E, installation options are wide open. The 3.5-inch LCD colour display provides a wide viewing angle for improved readability, even in low light and also features a night mode for improved viewing at night. Front and rear connection ports allow an additional HM-195GB remote COMMANDMIC / handset, plus you can connect up to three smart devices via its built-in WLAN using our free RS-M500 iOS/Android app. Add the optional CT-M500 interface unit to gain NMEA2000 connectivity and a two-way hailer/PA function & Fog Horn. AIS is now available in a compact handheld marine radio for the first time. The IC-M94DE is the only handheld VHF with DSC, GPS and AIS receiver built in. This means that information broadcast by other AIS-equipped vessels is displayed on the handhelds large screen, shown in the same way as a fixed VHF or an AIS receiver. As with any other AIS, the target call function allows you to set up an individual DSC call easily whilst Distress calls can be quickly made with the red emergency rear panel button. Also on show is Icom’s MA-510TR Class B AIS transponder, another tool that provides safety at sea. AIS signals can reach where radar cannot and Icom’s MA-510TR quickly spots other vessels. This transponder is the perfect addition to any commercial, open-water leisure, fishing, or cruising application. The MA-510TR comes with its own dedicated GPS antenna. In addition to these exciting new products, Icom will display its full range of products dedicated to all boat users, including buoyant handheld VHF, VHF/DSC fixed radios, HF/SSB Marine radios, AIS products and marine base stations.
