With a showbiz career spanning nearly 30 years, Toby is one of the nation’s best loved radio and tv presenters, with his radio show becoming the number one most listened to commercial radio show in the UK with 4.1 million listeners.
It all started in the legendary CBBC “broom cupboard” on BBC1 where Toby was the last ever presenter on the show, he went on to present the music show The Ozone for the BBC including specials with Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi, Take That, Boy George, and Radiohead. Toby co-hosted the equally legendary Smash Hits Poll Winners Party at Wembley Arena alongside Will Smith and went on to present and direct TV interviews with various artists including Drew Barrymore and Prince.
This all led to two years co-hosting Children in Need, presenting cricket films for Grandstand and hosting live outside broadcasts on the National Lottery Live for the BBC.
Toby presented the launch series of Trust Me I’m A Holiday rep” on Channel 5, co-hosted a Celebrity Through the Keyhole with Keith Lemon and appeared in Keith’s spin off show Lemon La Vida Loca, he has guested on numerous tv shows such as Ant n Dec’s Saturday Night Take Away, Celebrity Egg Heads, and This Morning, as well as guest starring in the cult ratings winner “Mongrels” on BBC2, has been a judge for Britain’s Next Top Model and even found time to hit the jungle for ‘I’m A Celebrity” on ITV!
He has won a record three episodes of “Pointless” on BBC and starred in GREASE at the Piccadilly Theatre in London’s West End playing the iconic Teen Angel, but the dream was always to be a Radio DJ!
In 2001 Toby started broadcasting for Heart, firstly presenting the afternoon show, then went onto the mid-morning show for a record 17 years taking it to the number one most listened to commercial radio show in the UK with millions of listeners.
Toby has hosted a number of prestigious events including numerous award ceremonies, Elton John’s New Years Eve concert at the 02 Arena and the world premiere of the Mamma Mia movie in Leicester Square, he continuously plays sell out gigs in clubs around the UK and Ibiza headlining many main stages including the Epsom Derby, Ascot, Sandown and many others
In 2019, he was given the opportunity of a lifetime, to launch a brand-new national radio station HEART DANCE, and presents the breakfast show live every morning, plus Club Classics every Friday night 7-10pm simulcast on Heart and Heart Dance
