Hat trick for FlexiSail as team celebrates most successful Southampton Boat Show to date with new members, new boats, and new owners
FlexiSail, the leading provider of boat share membership in the UK, is celebrating its most successful Southampton Boat Show to date, welcoming new members, purchasing new boats, and new owners for the business.
On the opening day, FlexiSail announced the official handover of the business following its acquisition by Walker Maritime Holdings, owned by Nikki and James Walker, who also own and operate award-winning naval architects, Walker Marine, and British Boat Club.
At the Boat Show, FlexiSail signed a contract with co-exhibitor, Inspiration Marine, for a new Hanse 418, which is due to be delivered in the Spring, ready for the new season. This order follows a near-fully subscribed membership of the current fleet of 17, and which will offer members another quality cruising yacht which will be base don the Hamble River, in Swanwick Marina.
FlexiSail’s memberships have also increased significantly, with very few remaining members spaces available as of the final day of the Show.
James Walker, MD of FlexiSail comments, “FlexiSail has been a longstanding exhibitor at the Southampton Boat Show since its inception. The FlexiSail’s new owners and all the team will be on board the yachts throughout the duration of the Southampton Boat Show. At the Show, FlexiSail is exhibiting its new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410, Romanza, together with popular Mahe 36 Catamaran, Issamella II. The new Hanse 418’s sistership is also available for viewing at the Show.
Since its inception in 2004 FlexiSail has remained the foremost provider of membership boat sharing in the UK. FlexiSail’s extensive fleet provides members with exclusive use of boats that are shared by a small number of co-members.
