Visitors to the Cranchi pavilion alongside berths M258 and M258A might be excused for briefly thinking they are seeing double, thanks to the UK launch of the Cranchi E26 Classic and E26 Rider.
Since it first emerged last year, the E26 Classic has wooed many people across Europe and the UK with its modern meets classic looks. It has the same emotional effect as seeing the wooden classics of years past, yet with all the practicality, performance and low maintenance of the latest 21st Century boats. Up-front a flush foredeck conceals a weekending cabin beneath. Aft you have a bathing platform and full size sunbed over the engine room beneath. In the middle, a cosseting deep cockpit, sociable, sheltered and finished to an exceptional standard.
Its stablemate, the E26, takes the same hull and offers it in a bow rider / outboard package with single level access from the bathing platform to the stem. Every inch is about sociable dayboating, yet with this version also includes practical features like an integrated toilet compartment, to keep family and friends comfortable.
Side-by-side on the Southampton Boat Show’s pontoons it’s a fascinating comparison…from a step-in classic pocket sport cruiser, to a step-on party boat and luxury tender. Both sharing the virtues of Cranchi’s excellent design, engineering, fit out and value for money. The choice is yours.
If you miss them at Southampton check out tingdeneboatsales.net/cranchi to see them both and to contact us for a viewing after the show.
