Introducing the ‘On The Water’ Bus
in association with Boatshed.com
With the
success of British sportsmen and women in sailing, canoeing and
rowing during the Olympics and Paralympics, the time could not be
better to encourage new and more people into boating.
The BMF and Boatshed see a great
opportunity to inspire young and old to get on the water, by giving
them access to people who have "been there and got the t-shirt".
The role of the Bus is very much educational with the
emphasis on learning about how to get on the water and inspiring
people to get on the water.
People will be able to
talk with a range of experts and ambassadors from different
water-based activities from sailing and paddling to inland
waterways and powerboating. Our boating experts will be available
onboard the bus for a couple of hours at different times during the
show. A schedule will be available online at www.southamptonboatshow.com/2012
and http://www.onthewater.co.uk/, so
visitors can plan their day.
The Bus will be appearing at a range of
different venues across the country including the PSP Southampton Boat Show and
Tullett Prebon London Boat
Shows, as well as a range of local events in the UK. We
are looking to create more on the water activities for
2013.
