Packrafts are superlight (2.27kg – 5.95kg), super compact, super tough inflatable boats, made from polyurethane coated nylon (TPU), the best in inflatable boat material which is heat welded rather than glued for a strong permanent bond (unlike glues which fail over time). This material is also UV resistant (so retains it’s colour), has improved scratch resistant properties and is highly elastic to withstand constant packing/unpacking without deterioration.
Packrafts therefore make perfect stowable tenders when compared to bulky and heavy traditional kayaks and inflatable boats, providing a lighter and more practical/comfortable alternative to paddleboards. Even more amazing, these incredible craft are ideal for testing yourself on whitewater, try bikerafting, take as your airplane hand luggage, take on hiking and wilderness expeditions, even ski rafting (yes as crazy as that sounds!)
