The Cruising Association (CA) is acknowledged as the leading organisation for sail and motor cruisers, with over 6,400 members around the world.

Whether you’re just starting out and cruising in UK waters, planning to journey under power along the inland waterways of Europe or a seasoned boat owner heading for more distant shores and blue water sailing, the benefits of Cruising Association membership are many and varied. Members can access comprehensive cruising expertise on the CA website, in CA publications and across our community. Cruising and Technical Advice

Our team will be on hand throughout the Boat Show and our dedicated drop-in sessions will share practical advice and answer your burning technical questions. We can guide you through a myriad of regulation and legislation topics, such as VAT, Brexit, craft registration, entry and exit formalities, navigation, electric propulsion, 90/180 stays, red diesel and any other questions which impact your boating. The drop-in sessions are open to all, member or non-member, from 1400-1630 hours on both Fridays and Saturdays of the Boat Show – 16, 17, 23 and 24 September 2022.

Supporting your cruising adventures, CA experts will also be giving talks on the Foredeck Stage, including:

– Buying a Boat – various specialists – covering insurance, brokers and finance – along with members of the RATS team who will discuss VAT issues at 1200 on Saturday 17, Sunday 18 and Friday 23 September and 1130 on Saturday 24 September
– About the CA – Derek Lumb, CA President will introduce the role and benefits of the CA at 1230 on Saturday 17 September
– Channel Crossing – Bob Garrett will explain paperwork, processes and experiences on cruising to France followed by a Q&A at 1130 on Friday 23 September

Membership Offer

The CA is offering membership discounts throughout the Boat Show, with 10% off* the first year of full membership and there is no joining fee. If you are a member of a partner Boat Owner Association/Club/Organisation or are referred by an existing member, the discount increases to 25%*.
