NEW Orkney Pilothouse 27

OVERVIEW

The Pilothouse 27 is a proper motor cruiser designed in the true spirit of Nelson tradition, blending classic lines and seakeeping with a sleek and modern exterior styling.

The Orkney Pilothouse 27 design is well known for her excellent sea keeping characteristics. Developed by Orkney and Nelson designer ‘Arthur Mursell’ TT Boat Designs, the hull features a generous waterline length and freeboard. This combined with a heavy displacement endows the 27 with a sure footedness in a seaway not found in many boats of even greater size.

An ‘open plan’ light and airy wheelhouse offers commanding panoramic views for both helmsman and crew from the comfort of a raised dinette seating area.

The spacious dinette is a comfortable place to dine, relax and watch the world go by, easily converting into an additional berth when required. Forward of the wheelhouse and to Starboard is an enclosed toilet and shower compartment with full standing headroom. Opposite and to Port is a good size hanging locker whilst forward is a spacious double cabin berth with generous storage under.

The wheelhouse leads to a self-draining cockpit with comfortable seating and safe deep coamings, with good access via a gateway to a bathing platform allowing for easy boarding.

A combination of classic Nelson lines twinned with a more aggressive and modern exterior styling, plus a beautifully presented light Oak joinery interior, high quality and robust fittings and strong construction all come together to make the Pilothouse 27 a serious motor cruiser for shorthanded couples looking to explore beyond the horizon in comfort.
