With more and more people buying the Pro Angler as a family boat rather than an out-and-out angling boat, it wasn’t a hard decision to make a new boat aimed purely for the family. Gone are the clinkers on the hull, gone are the rod holders, and gone is the hard diamond pattern flooring. It is a brand new soft ride hull, in are a choice of folding rear corner seats or a full rear bench and in is a new smooth Tread Master floor or teak style upgrade.
The styling is unmistakably “Warrior” with the sloping rear of the 175 and the rounded top sides and cuddy from the Pro Angler.
Like the Pro Angler, the 170 needed to be towed behind an average family car. The same lightweight matrix and structural foam used in the floor construction enabled a weight of just 1300kg for the full package. The use of multiple layers of woven roving and the new under water shape allows the hull to reach its top speeds in seconds and the deeper hull not only gives you a soft smooth ride but produces a larger wake, ideal for skiing, wake boarding or towing toys.
