Wetwheels returns to the Southampton International Boat Show

Wetwheels is proud to return to the Southampton Boat Show, continuing our mission to provide truly inclusive, barrier-free boating experiences for disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages. From children to older adults, including those living with multiple, profound, and complex disabilities, Wetwheels offers safe and fully accessible opportunities to get out on the water — often for the very first time.

Our journey with the Southampton Boat Show began shortly after the London 2012 Paralympics, when Wetwheels made her debut appearance as part of the Suzuki “Try a Boat” stand. Since then, we’ve proudly attended nearly every show, taking more than 2,000 participants out onto the water over the years.

This incredible milestone has only been possible thanks to the continued support of British Marine, who generously provide concessionary tickets that make access to the show more inclusive, and to our valued partners Suzuki Marine UK and Pantaenius UK, who help cover the operational costs of our attendance.

Founded by disabled yachtsman Geoff Holt MBE DL, the Wetwheels Foundation aims to build confidence and improve physical and mental wellbeing through empowering maritime experiences. What sets Wetwheels apart is the opportunity for participants to actually drive the boat, not just be a passenger — guided by a qualified instructor. Each Wetwheels boat is purpose-built to be fully accessible, including wheelchair access, and every trip is designed to be safe, enriching, and tailored to individual needs.

We invite you to visit us at Stand H386 to learn more about our fleet, our mission, and how you can support or get involved with Wetwheels. Discover how we’re making waves in accessible boating — one unforgettable experience at a time.
