These terms and conditions apply to tickets for the 2025 edition of the Southampton International Boat Show.
Introduction
1. The organiser is Southampton International Boat Show Limited (company number 01247541, Tagus House, 9 Ocean Way, Southampton SO14 3TJ), its employees, staff, agents, advisors and representatives (the “Organiser”).
2. The show is the 2025 edition of the Southampton International Boat Show (the “Show”).
Admission
3. All tickets prices, discounts, offers and promotions are subject to availability and may be amended by the Organiser without notice. Ticket prices are as stated on the Show website as well as the website of our ticketing partner Citizen Ticket.
4. Visitors will not be allowed admission to the Show without a valid ticket.
5. Presentation of the ticket for Show admission constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions upon which the Organiser is prepared to grant entry.
6. Upon exit from the Show visitors will not be re-admitted unless this is authorised by the Organiser.
7. A ticket is valid for one admission only (unless expressly stated otherwise by the Organiser). Where the ticket holder has a printed (non-electronic) ticket any removal of the stub or any alteration may, at the
Organiser’s discretion, invalidate the ticket.
8. Tickets containing mistakes cannot be rectified on presentation of the tickets at the Show.
9. No children under the age of 18 years will be admitted access to the Show (even with a valid ticket) without an accompanying adult.
10. All children under the age of 18 entering the Show must have a ticket.
11. A ticket obtained in contravention of these terms and conditions, or which in the Organiser’s reasonable opinion is being used, or is intended to be used, in contravention of these terms and conditions, shall be void. All rights conferred or evidenced by such a ticket shall be nullified.
12. For public safety the Organiser reserves the right and ultimate discretion to refuse admission to or to eject visitors to the Show or with respect to Show attractions in reasonable circumstances (for example taking health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account), and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of visitors. Visitors should note that they may be refused entry or ejected from the venue on account of being (or appearing to be) abusive, threatening, or drunken, declining to be searched, carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances or for any other anti-social behaviour. Determination of such shall be at the discretion of the Organiser.
13. Each visitor admitted to the Show enters the Show at their own risk.
14. Tickets bought from unauthorised third parties are not valid and admission will not be granted to the
Show where it is suspected that a ticket has been purchased from an unauthorised third party.
Promotional & Discounted Tickets
15. Promotional or discounted tickets cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
16. Tickets shall not be used for any promotion, advertising, fundraising, auction, raffle or other similar commercial or non-commercial purpose including, but not limited to, being awarded as a prize (or part of) without the consent of the Organiser.
Show Cancellation, Exchange, Transfer or Resale
17. All tickets remain the property of the Organiser and if a Ticket is used in breach of these terms, it is void and the holder may be refused entry to or ejected from the Show.
18. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase. In the event that the Show is cancelled due to any reason within the Organiser’s reasonable control you will be offered Tickets for a rescheduled Show or, if no such Tickets are available, a full refund. If the Show is cancelled, delayed or postponed due to any reason outside of the Organiser’s reasonable control, for example severe bad weather, the Organiser is unable to offer refunds or exchanges in respect of any Tickets purchased.
19. Except as provided for above in clause 18, tickets cannot be exchanged or transferred.
20. If a Ticket is resold or transferred for profit or commercial benefit or gain without prior written consent from the Organiser, it will become void and the holder may be refused entry to or be ejected from the Show.
21. Any replacement of lost, damaged, defaced, illegible or stolen tickets remains at the discretion of the Organiser.
Right to Cancel, Defer, Rearrange or Amend
22. If for any reason the Organiser cannot offer you any feature or attraction at the time or date specified, it will endeavour to offer you a suitable alternative time and/or date during the Show, but it will not be obliged to do so.
General
23. Possession of a ticket does not confer any rights (by implication or otherwise) on you to use, alter, copy or otherwise deal with any of the symbols, trademarks, logos and/or intellectual property appearing on the ticket.
24. The Organiser will only use your personal information as set out in the Organiser’s Privacy Policy. You can find the Organiser’s Privacy Policy on the Organiser’s website.
25. Visitors may be filmed and/or recorded for broadcast (which may be live), marketing, Show promotion or security purposes during the Show. Please be aware that, for security and health and safety, CCTV will be in operation in and around the Show premises.
26. Other than for private or domestic use, any ticket holder attending the Show shall not record, use or transmit over the internet, radio, television or any other current or future media, any sound, image, recording or description of the Show without first obtaining explicit written consent from the Organiser.
27. The use of drones or any similar mobile recording equipment without the Organiser’s prior written consent is strictly prohibited. The Organiser may elect to deploy its own drone equipment or engage a third party provider to film parts of the Show through the use of drones. The distribution of leaflets or any other advertising material or the sale of articles anywhere within the Show premises is strictly forbidden without prior written permission from the Organiser; who reserves the right at its absolute discretion to confiscate such articles for infringement of this condition and to eject any individuals who have been doing so.
28. Ambush marketing is strictly prohibited, and anyone caught carrying out such an activity will be evicted from the Show and potentially be subject to prosecution.
29. You must not intentionally or knowingly breach or infringe the rights of any sponsors, suppliers, broadcasters, exhibitors or other parties commercially associated to the Show.
30. Alcohol is only served to those customers aged 18 years and over. Proof of age may be requested at the time of serving alcohol.
31. The service of alcohol may be refused at the absolute discretion of the Organiser and its contractors to persons who are responsibly considered to be drunk, abusive or a danger to themselves or others.
32. Alcohol shall only be consumed in the designated areas.
33. Illegal substances will not be tolerated, and the Organiser reserves the right to remove any visitor from the Show if the Organiser reasonably believes that they are either carrying or using any illegal substances and the Organiser may report such visitors to the police.
34. Animals shall not be permitted to the Show except for dogs.
35. All damage to property, accidents and injuries incurred at the Show must be reported to the Organiser immediately.
36. The Organiser reserves the right at all times to refuse or restrict the use of any facilities and to eject any person refusing to comply with these conditions, or who the Organiser reasonably believes to behave inappropriately in any way, cause damage or annoyance to any other persons or property.
37. Please note that our ticketing partner Citizen Ticket reserves the right to charge an administration fee for any tickets which it is requested to print in hard copy form and post to a ticketholder.
38. The Organiser reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time.
39. The Organiser may transfer its rights under these terms to someone else.
Limitation of Liability
40. Except for any liability for:
i. death or personal injury caused by the Organiser’s negligence;
ii. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
iii. any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law,
the Organiser will not be liable, whether in contract, tort (including but not limited to negligence or breach of statutory duty) for:
i. any damage to property, accidents or injuries incurred at the Show that are not the fault of the Organiser; or
ii. financial or other responsibility for: 1) any loss or liability incurred by the public at the Show which arises or may arise as a result of contracts entered into by visitors with any exhibitor or for any advice sought or obtained from any exhibitor; or 2) any loss or damage to personal property brought into the Show that is not the fault of the Organiser.
41. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Events Beyond the Organiser’s reasonable Control
42. The Organiser shall only be liable for any affected or delayed provision of the Show that is reasonably foreseeable. The Organiser shall not be liable for any affected or delayed provision of the Show outside of its control. If the provision of the Show is affected or delayed by an event outside of the Organiser’s control, the Organiser will notify you of the issue as soon as possible, and the Organiser will take all steps to minimise the effect that such event has on you. Provided the Organiser does this, you shall not be entitled to any compensation for such an affect or delay to the provision of the Show.
Equality ad Anti-harassment
43. When attending the Show and in complying with your obligations under these terms, you shall also comply with:
i. all applicable equality and anti-harassment legislation (whether in relation to race, sex, gender reassignment, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, pregnancy, maternity or otherwise);
ii. any policies regarding anti-harassment and equality as published on the Organiser’s website or otherwise made available to you from time to time; and
iii. any other requirements and instructions which the Organiser reasonably imposes in connection with any equality and anti-harassment legislation.
Entire Agreement
44. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Organiser and any customer and neither party shall have any claim or remedy in respect of any statement, representation, warranty or undertaking, made by or on behalf of any other party in relation to these terms and conditions which is not already set out in these terms and conditions.
45. If any provision or part-provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction
47. The purchase of any Show Ticket and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with Show Tickets or attendance at the Show shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction to the English courts.
RYA Promotional Tickets – these apply to RYA Promotional Tickets only
1. Discounted tickets purchased by an RYA Member through the ticket offer operated by the Organiser will be valid on the Show dates of 19 September to 28 September 2025 (inclusive).
2. Purchasing and/or presentation of a ticket for Show admission is subject to the terms and conditions for i) General Ticket Purchases and ii) RYA Promotional Tickets. In the event of a conflict between these terms, the precedence shall be: i) RYA Promotional Tickets terms and conditions; and ii) General Ticket Purchases terms and conditions.
3. RYA Promotional Tickets will not be sent by post. RYA Promotional Tickets will be sent via email and must either be printed or presented on a mobile device and provided at the Show on the day of intended admission.
4. RYA Promotional Tickets are valid for one admission only.
5. Upon exit from the Show visitors will not be re-admitted.
6. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
7. RYA Promotional Tickets cannot be exchanged, or transferred, nor may they be resold for commercial gain.
8. By purchasing discounted tickets through the ticket offer operated by the Organiser you recognise that your personal data will be shared with the RYA in order for the RYA and the Organiser to operate ticket offer. The lawful basis for this transfer of information shall be contract.
