A United States Navy gunboat which was operated by the Americans patrolling the Rhine River during the “Cold War” era, it is the only one still afloat out of a fleet of 23.

After being decommissioned by the American military, the USN P22 was handed back to the reformed German Navy to continue Rhine patrol. After a number of years, it was then decommissioned and bought by a Scottish-based private company where it fell into disrepair and partially sank, only to be saved by a private individual for its posterity and historic value.

It most recently featured in this year’s blockbuster war film, Dunkirk, and is now permanently moored in Ramsgate, Kent.

You can visit her on the Marina on berth M539.
