About the Day   

This day is all about inspiring and celebrating the success of women in the marine industry.  In addition to a range of talks there will be a dedicated Women In Marine panel discussion from the Foredeck Stage, along with various informal networking opportunities.

Programme for the Day

Talks and Activities from the Foredeck Stage

• 11:00 – 11:30 ‘An introduction to WING’ by Aga Kosno, Global Marketing and Product Development Manager of the Wing Group exploring how they have taken their products from concept to distribution and discussing their own challenges faced in marine
• 12:00 – 12:30 Buying a Boat Q&A Session with British Marine industry experts: A discussion focusing on different methods of getting on the water for all
• 14:30 – 15:00 ‘Opportunities and challenges for women in the marine sector’ by Cara Lant, Hollie Luff, Amy Lewington & Nicola Walsh of Premier Marinas
• 16:00 – 18:00 Women in Marine Discussion Panel and Q&A Session – An engaging discussion with professionals from the marine industry to discuss their challenges within the Marine Sector and current topics affecting the industry.  This will be followed by networking opportunity with refreshments

The day will also include speed mentoring sessions for women starting out in their careers or undertaking marine apprenticeships, giving them a chance to meet senior professionals from across the industry, with specialists ranging from engineering and boat building to marketing and finance.
