L Y N N E Luxury Knitwear Celebrating the Craftsmanship of the British Isles
Founded in 2024 by Lynne Coleman, a Glaswegian living in Guernsey, the brand was born out of her mission to unite Britain’s most iconic knitwear traditions. Working with artisans from Fair Isle in the north to Guernsey in the south, and the mills of Hawick and Selkirk in between, Lynne set out to produce the first-ever 100% Scottish cashmere Fair Isle and Guernsey knits.
A Maritime Heritage
Our pieces are steeped in maritime history and rooted in island life. Traditionally knitted by women in coastal communities for sailors, fishermen, and dockworkers, then traded with passing ships, which carried their fame around the world. As the daughter of a merchant seaman, Lynne’s own love of sailing began when she won a place on the 1999 Tall Ship Races with Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, a voyage that also sparked her lifelong passion for British textiles when she discovered her first Shetland knit in Lerwick.
The Collection
The first ever commercially produced Cashmere Guernsey and Cashmere Fair Isle jumpers are complemented by a collection of joggers, cold-water swim wraps, and crews, all crafted in 100% of the finest grade A Scottish cashmere.
British Woollens
At Southampton International Boatshow 2026, L Y N N E will be joined by British Woollens and their range of heritage knitwear including traditional lambswool Guernsey, Breton, Submariner and Crew styles alongside stylish Shepherd’s Plaid blankets.
