Roto-Tech was established in 2003 in Poland and are experts in the manufacture of specialist polyethylene products primarily for the marine industry. These include pontoons, House Boats, and Kontra watercraft. Specialist Small Craft are privileged to be appointed the Kontra UK distributer.
Kontra boats are made to meet the demanding requirements of professional Search and Rescue, Police and military customers. They can be found in Asia, the Middle East and serving in rescue and security roles in the majority of European countries. The boats range from 3.5m to the spacious 4.5m models. Their advanced tough design provides great stability, amazing manoeuvrability, operational adaptability and the speed to meet the demands of international emergency services. They are redefining “plastic boat” standards.
But its not all blue lights and sirens. These same characteristics are perfect for recreation and fun, family users, fishermen and water sports clubs and organisations looking for an easy to use utility craft. With a virtually indestructible hull that is naturally buoyant and maintenance free users can relax and enjoy their boating whether its for recreation, fishing or work/safety.
Key Features:
- QUALITY: By using the latest moulding technology and highest grade materials the hulls are completely resistant to environmental factors such as temperature and sunlight. The high quality stainless steel railing is standard and integral to the design. No wood or foam fillers required, the transom is made of Stainless Steel. All optional fittings are catered for at the point of manufacture. The fixings are pre fitted into the basic boat for easy upgrades later if required. You just bolt them in. Lockers and lids are deeply recessed to prevent water ingress and fitted with stainless clasps. Quality in house manufactured stainless steel fittings are used throughout.
- PERFORMANCE: Advanced semi cathedral hull design made from 100% recyclable polyethylene, makes the hull highly manoeuvrable and deceptively quick. Virtually indestructible, super tough to take the knocks of real life boating, these craft allow owners to relax and enjoy the thrill of being on the water. With maximum engine sizes up to 60HP on the 450. Kontra boats never need to feel under powered.
- SAFETY: Designed for stability, Kontra’s are naturally buoyant with multiple air chambers. In tests these boats float fully loaded with a swamped deck. Super tough too, that little bump on the slipway or being pulled up on the beach isn’t a problem. Good to know and a real confidence boost.
- STORAGE: There’s large amounts of storage in the basic hulls with 4 large bow lockers fitted as standard in the 450 and a single large bow locker in the 350 & 400 models. Plus optional drop in, lift out large portable side lockers are available for all models. These are perfect for work equipment storage, family day out picnics and clothing or fishing gear. These boats “feel” bigger than they are due their out of sight storage, keeping the deck as clear as possible.
- ADAPTABILTY: Turn the basic hull into your custom craft. Options include side lockers, passenger seats, side steering console, swim/rescue ladders, A-frames, lighting packages, lifebuoy holder, bow anchor roller, folding stainless cleats. Not forgetting you have more than 12 colours to choose to suit all tastes, from rib grey to bright orange. Express yourself by selecting your own colour combo. The 450 also has a very impressive centre console with jockey seat, it includes helm, easy access hatch, 40lt internal fuel tank with enough room to mount dials and electronics such as sonar and plotters. Choose to protect it all with a stainless steel framed wind screen. The integral stainless steel railing on all models is also perfect for rod holders and fit out options provided by storage systems such as RailBlaza.
