A Webasto Thermo Top heater is a fuel-operated heater that primarily provides heat for your live-aboard boat (eg a canal boat) or camper van that is particularly useful in cold climates. It can also provide hot water for domestic use in RVs and boats. The heater works by burning fuel (diesel or gasoline, depending on the model) to heat the vehicle’s coolant, which is then circulated through the engine and/or a heat exchanger for the interior.
