‘The classic blue water cruiser’ – Nicholson 31 – will be at the British Marine Southampton International Boat Show in September 2022 for the first time.
There are just 120 examples of this pocket family cruiser which was first built in 1976 by Camper & Nicholsons in Gosport.
The Nicholson 31 Association, formed in 2004, is presenting this 6-berth family cruiser on the owners’ / Class pontoon berth in the marina.
Owners from around the world will be contributing stories about their ownership of this long keel pocket cruiser.
Each day a different owner’s story will be highlighted. Tales of voyages undertaken in their Nic 31, and practical information about updating and modifications: such as electronics, plumbing and self-steering.
All are welcome to come aboard; those seeking a sturdy easily handled yacht are especially welcome. Owners will be on hand and, on a loop video, to share their stories from around the world. Ask about becoming an Associate of the Class; about rigging configurations; osmosis treatment, extending engine life and many other topics that have made this yacht so popular throughout the world.
