SBS Trailers to Showcase C-ROVR Electric Boat Launch System at Southampton Boat Show 2026
As the first authorised partner of Tectrax outside of New Zealand, SBS Trailers is set to showcase the latest innovation in marine launching technology the -C-ROVR- at Southampton Boat Show, 18-24th September 2026.
Developed over more than a decade, the C-ROVR is the world’s first fully electric, remote-controlled boat launching system. Using advanced wireless technology, it redefines how vessels are launched and retrieved, removing many of the traditional challenges associated with boat handling.
This self-driving solution provides boat owners and operators with the freedom and convenience typically associated with amphibious vessels—without the need for costly modifications or investment in new craft.
The system is operated via a wireless remote with a range of up to 500 metres (line of sight), allowing users to launch and retrieve their vessel from either onboard or onshore. Designed to accommodate boats from 4m to 10m+ and loads exceeding 7,000kg, each C-ROVR is custom-built to suit specific operational requirements.
With no tow vehicle required, the C-ROVR provides a simple, independent solution for launching your boat.
Designed specifically for use in the water, it is built to perform in tough marine conditions. The C-ROVR is robust, fully submersible and engineered for long-lasting reliability.
Each wheel hub is triple sealed and fitted with built-in moisture sensors, to ensure waterproof integrity and consistent performance. This allows for confident launches in deeper water and smooth, controlled retrievals every time.
SBS Trailers will be exhibiting the C-ROVR at Southampton Boat Show 2026, stand P38, where visitors can see the system up close and learn more about its capabilities.
