The GlideSolo and GlideTide are designed as multi-purpose sculling boats. The agile but stable hulls make them easy to row, great for developing early technique and comfortable boats for learning, leisure rowing, touring and exploring sheltered coasts and rivers.

The original, smaller GlideSolo is 4m long and perfect for adults and children as young as 8 to learn and explore. There is a growing junior competition circuit for these boats, which combines British Rowing’s Omnium Skills with World Rowing’s Endurance and Olympic Beach Sprint format.

The new, larger GlideTide is 5m long and built to full FISA coastal rowing specifications. It is a fast, stable, agile coastal rowing boat, ideally suited to coastal rowing adventures and recreational sliding seat rowing for all. The boats have already been enjoyed by all from complete beginners to Olympic Gold medalists and the feedback has been exceptional.

Both ground-breaking boats have been designed by Paul Godsafe at Glide Boats and are manufactured and assembled here in the UK, with all rowing components supplied by Neaves. The hull designs have sailing pedigree, having been designed in partnership with Paul Handley, designer of the RS Tera, Feva and Quba.

Working in partnership, Rowing Adventures and Glide Boats are making sliding seat rowing as accessible to all as kayaking and paddleboarding.
