Introducing Coil Spring Independent Suspension Trailers from Vanclaes
Independent coil-spring suspension is something the car industry has benefitted from for a long time, and now your boat trailer can enjoy the same level of sure-footed safety and ride quality.
Netherlands manufacturer, Vanclaes BV, have developed a coil-spring suspension system that significantly improves stability and road mannerisms when towing boats.
Whether the trailer is fully laden with a boat + gear, or completely empty, the system ensures safe contact of the wheels with the road surface at all times, successfully neutralising shocks, bumps and judders caused by poor quality roads, or unmade surfaces, such as access roads often connected to certain marinas or inland-water boat & sailing clubs.
Made from the same, high quality, light-weight stainless-steel, as used in all Vanclaes trailer chassis construction, the new suspension set-up is compatible either with Vanclaes drum brake, or disc brake options, and the system can be added to any of Vanclaes’ standard trailer loading systems, including the WAVE (wobble-roller style) and the GYRO (air-filled load bearing wheels) range.
Priced favourably at just 250 Euros extra per axle, the system not only looks like nothing else on the market, but is the first time a trailer manufacturer has gone to such lengths to improve road mannerisms and ride quality when towing boats on both good and poor quality road surfaces.
