CROATIA: WHERE EVERY DAY BEGINS AT SEA
Sail through clear waters, untouched nature and centuries of history, and discover a country where life is best experienced from the sea.
In Croatia, sailing is more than a way of travelling. It is a way of experiencing the Adriatic at its most authentic, waking to the sound of the sea, swimming before breakfast and spending each day between secluded bays, islands and centuries-old coastal towns.
The Croatian coast brings together diverse experiences within easy sailing distance. One day may take you through the unspoilt landscapes of a national or nature park, past dramatic cliffs and into a quiet cove accessible only by boat; the next may lead to Dubrovnik, Split or Šibenik, where historic streets and UNESCO-listed heritage lie just beyond the waterfront. Along the way, hundreds of islands reveal a slower rhythm of life in fishing villages, small harbours and communities shaped by the sea.
Food is part of that journey. End the day in an island harbour or sheltered bay, where freshly caught fish, locally grown vegetables, seasonal ingredients and wines that express the character of their islands and coastal vineyards await. Here, the pleasure of sailing naturally becomes a taste-driven exploration of place and terroir.
With its clear, clean sea, varied coastline, established nautical infrastructure and long sailing tradition, Croatia offers both adventure and reassurance. Getting there is easy too, with direct flights from London, Manchester, Birmingham and numerous other UK cities to Croatia’s main coastal airports, including Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar and Pula. Once you arrive, the proximity of islands, harbours and coastal destinations means more time on the water and less time getting there.
From the Istrian peninsula and Brijuni National Park in the north to the islands surrounding Šibenik, Zlatni Rat on Brač and the historic walls of Dubrovnik in the south, Croatia reveals itself differently from the sea.
Come and meet us at the Southampton International Boat Show and discover why the Adriatic is a sea made for sailing.
