Poole, UK – The waiting is over, the TEMO 1000 will be on show for the first time in the UK at the Southampton International Boat Show on stand J296 from the 15th to 22nd September 2023.
The TEMO 1000 is the bigger more powerful sibling of the highly successful TEMO 450. This latest model is an ultra-ergonomic electric outboard. It’s designed for large dinghies with up to six persons and sailing boats up to 8 metres. It’s portable and silent with 1.1kW power, comparable to 3.5hp. It’s adaptable and designed to fit any transom with it’s universal mounting bracket allowing the user to install in seconds.
The sleek design integrates the removable battery, the propulsion unit, the retractable tiller and all the electronics. It’s easy to transport under your arm with an integrated handle. The TEMO weighs 10kg plus the 5kg removable battery.
How it works.
The TEMO 1000 comes complete with a discreet 360° rotating bracket, enabling effortless installation. The ingenious mounting system allows the engine to be easily raised and lowered, and at increments for shallow draft waters.
The mounting point can also be adjusted directly on the engine regardless of the transom design of the dinghy or boat. This means there is no need to choose between long and short shaft, the TEMO 1000 covers both lengths ranging from 42cm to 62cm.
The engine is rated to IP67 and the battery is 100% waterproof. It slides into position with no need for external connectors and cables, simply slide in, and position the telescopic tiller that is fully integrated into your motor. This makes for easy manoeuvring, transportation, and installation. Just remove the tiller from the housing, position, power on and explore.
Once at your destination, it can be rotated completely around on itself, so the propeller and shaft are protected when not in use.
