Swedish hydrofoiling electric boat manufacturer, Candela, has expanded their international dealer network to the UK and will be exclusively represented by SE Yachts.

The Candela C-8 will be available to see for the very first time in the UK at the Southampton International Boat Show in 2023. The C-8 all-electric craft travels 57 NM at 22 knots thanks to hydrofoil technology and Candela’s battery collaboration with EV-maker Polestar.

The maximum speed is 28 knots and the boat is certified for 6+2 passengers. The closed front cabin makes the vessel the perfect day-cruiser with the possibility for an overnight stay.

A Candela pushes the technological limits of boating. At 17 knots, the boats lift above the water, radically reducing energy consumption, thanks to a near-complete elimination of water resistance. Furthermore, Candela boats are equipped with the Candela C-POD, the world’s most efficient electric motor. The duo-prop drive line is submerged completely underwater to enable cooling directly from the water and ensure a silent ride.
