Fambridge Yacht Haven, located on the River Crouch in Essex, has installed two new state-of-the-art interceptor tanks at the top of their slipways. When boats are lifted ashore into the Yacht Haven’s boatyard and pressure washed, the run-off is collected within an Environmental Wash Centre where it is filtered with waste particles seperated. The water is the re-used to reduce water usage.
Danyal Adams, Marina Manager, commented, “As custodians, we’re responsible for maintaining and preserving our marinas, ensuring our coastal areas are future-proofed for generations to come. We’ve listened to what our customers and the marine industry are saying about making marina operations more sustainable, so we’re delighted to become the first marina on the East Coast to utilise this state-of-the-art system.”
As one of the 9 marinas of the renowned Yacht Havens Group, Fambridge Yacht Haven is located on the peaceful River Crouch in rural Essex.
The river provides over 12 miles of sheltered, scenic cruising with the even more destinations to discover around the East Coast.
The Yacht Haven provides sheltered marina berthing for over 200 boats, as well as swinging river moorings for a further 120. A comprehensive boatyard facility provides lifting and storage for boats up to 40 tons, with a historic village pub on-site to enjoy
